Since 1999, Capital Area IT has been servicing small and medium size businesses in the Capital District Area.

Started under the business name Wheeler Computing, our business grew from such general IT services such as setting up small area networks, rolling out desktop computers and laptops, windows, linux and Microsoft exchange servers to firewall configuration and cabling new offices.

In 2013 Capital Area IT was formed and continues to support all the services above along with many other areas of practice such as backup and storage solutions, VOIP, site to site VPN, remote access, Mac based solutions and many more.

Our newest and possibly most important solution - Network Vulnerability Assessment/Scanning has taken the area by storm and will be the #1 most important service we can offer moving forward. From simple 3rd party updates, to critical system patches and firmware updates our testing and analyses will determine where the weakness resides in your network and how to go about stopping it.
